This video is aimed at beginner guitar players - although confusion between the major and minor pentatonics is often seen even in more experienced players.

• Demonstrates the different sounds available using the Pentatonic shape starting on a different note

• Demos the similarity between the Pentatonic Major and Minor scale sounds - the Pentatonic Major is quite country sounding, whereas the Minor Pentatonic is bluesy. UniGTR+ sez mix both and use where applicable.

• Shows how to find the relative minor scale for a major - this is the exact same principle as used in chord relationships i.e. count down 4 frets inclusive.

• Shows using the same scale notes over the C and the A minor chord and explains the differences

• Demos the notes over an A Minor chord then a C progression

• Includes some useful explanations to help clarify this confusing issue

• The video to sound is slightly out of sync on this vid but not so much as to ruin the lesson.
